Hi, I’m Ryder! I’m a Kelpie cross from Auckland, proud supervisor of my humans, and Chief Taste Tester at 24 Days of Dogmas.
It’s a big title, but someone has to take responsibility for the treats. Luckily, I’m very committed to my work.
Together, we’re the family behind 24 Days of Dogmas — bringing a little extra Christmas excitement to dogs and the people who love them.
A little Christmas magic, just for dogs
In our family, dogs are part of everything. The everyday adventures, the quiet nights at home and, of course, the Christmas celebrations.
That’s the heart of 24 Days of Dogmas: giving your dog their own part in the countdown to Christmas.
Our advent calendars contain 24 tasty, natural dog treats, with a daily surprise to share in the lead-up to the big day. A little moment together, an excited nose and a wagging tail — repeated every day from 1 to 24 December.
My personal suggestion is to open all 24 at once. Apparently, that defeats the purpose.
Meet my human team
Behind every dog with a business are humans doing the jobs that require thumbs.
Together, we’re a small family business based in Auckland, with a shared love of dogs and the happiness they bring into our lives.
My Family handle the human side of Dogmas. I provide the face, the inspiration and a very enthusiastic interest in anything edible.
They call it teamwork. I call it an excellent arrangement.
Life outside the tasting department
When I’m off duty, you might find me out exploring, splashing about in the water, spending time with my humans or settling into a comfortable spot for a well-earned rest.
I’ve also been photographed at the laptop wearing a headset. Running the seasonal business takes dedication, although typing with paws remains a challenge.
Whether I’m looking busy or taking a break, I’m always Ryder first: a much-loved family dog who gets to be part of something fun.
